SAFEGUARDING
At Wilmington Grammar School for Boys our approach to safeguarding is child-centred and we always consider the best interest of the child.
WG6
Welcome to WG6, where students transition into the next stage of their academic journey. Here, you’ll find information on our diverse range of courses, dedicated support services, and enriching extracurricular opportunities.
It is my great privilege to welcome you to Wilmington Grammar School for Boys
A forward-thinking Grammar School that offers an exceptional education for ambitious and hard-working boys aged 11-16, with an extensive, co-educational Sixth Form programme.
The broad education on offer at our school will challenge students in many ways and reward them for their endeavours. The academic and diverse curriculum at the very heart of our school is rich and varied. This is complimented by our wide-ranging programme of enrichment activities, which offer boundless opportunities for personal development beyond the classroom. Our academic results are consistently high and we are proud of the many students who go on to study at prestigious universities or enrol in Higher Level Apprenticeships with industry leaders.
We are proud of our excellent relationship with both local and wider business communities. Industry-leading companies and successful alumni offer our students inspiring work experience placements, helping to ensure that our students are educated in the wide range of careers and pathways that are available to them.
For good reason, our school is consistently oversubscribed. Due to increasing demand, we have grown student numbers in the last two years and we now have over 900 students in Year 7-11. The ethos of our school is based on Personal Excellence, Respect, Innovation and Creativity, Determination and Equality for All.
Wilmington Grammar School students are extremely successful. They contribute willingly to their local community. They make careful and thoughtful decisions. They value scholarly excellence. We are very proud of them all.
